The compact AX-FC fan speed controller provides stepless speed regulation of single phase AC motors. The unit offers several voltage and current control input options combined with a fan off function. The unit is designed for panel mounting.

Description and connections

The AX-FC fan speed controller provides stepless speed regulation of single phase AC motors. The Input jumper sets the unit up for voltage or current control input and the Mode jumper selects between 0-10V/0-20mA and 2- 10V/4-20mA control signals. The minimum speed preset sets the fans speed at the bottom end of the input range (Idle speed) and the maximum speed preset sets the fan speed at the top of the input range. With the Mode jumper set for 2-10V/4-20mA the fan will automatically switch off when the input falls below 0.5 volts / 1mA (Approximately) and switches on when the input rises above 1.5V / 3mA (Approximately). The unit has a soft start to prevent any sudden speed changes reducing stress on the fan. The AX-FC has a fixed 10 volt output for connection to an external potentiometer providing a stand alone fan speed control solution.
