The Sontay TT-555-N is a Sensor used to measure air temperature in small duct spaces such as VAV boxes, fan coil units or other restricted spaces.

The Probe is made of Stainless Steel.

The diameter is 30 x 6 mm and the weight 80 g.

Use screened cable for all connections to BEMS controllers, data recorders, etc. In order to prevent earth hum loops, which can produce noise, the screen should normally only be earthed at one end (often the controller end). High voltage or mains cabling should not be routed through low voltage signal and supply lines.

It is best to utilise cable trays or separate conduit. Instead of using the mains safety earth, the controller's earth should, whenever possible, be connected to a FUNCTIONAL EARTH. Better immunity to high frequency noise will result from this. The majority of contemporary structures have a distinct earth for this use.
