The Sontay TT-555-K is a Sensor used to measure air temperature in small duct spaces such as VAV boxes, fan coil units or other restricted spaces.

The Probe is made of Stainless Steel.

The diameter is 30 x 6 mm and the weight 80 g.

The Cable length is 2 meters - 6.56 ft.

The Index of Protection is IP 40

For all connections to BEMS controllers, data recorders, etc., use screened cable. The screen should often only be earthed at one end to avoid ground hum loops, which can cause noise (often the controller end). It is not advisable to run low voltage supply and signal lines over high voltage or mains cabling.

Use cable trays or a separate conduit if possible. The controller's earth should, if possible, be connected to a FUNCTIONAL EARTH rather than the mains safety earth. This will improve immunity to high frequency noise. Most modern buildings have a specific soil for this purpose.
